Delinquent Donors: Is a Pledge Legally Binding?
 Can you legally enforce a donor's pledge? Surprisingly, Louisiana law does not give us a clear answer. Should you enforce it? Your policy must balance fiduciary responsibilities and donor relations. During this session, individuals will learn the essentials of when a pledge is legally binding and enforceable.

Leu Anne is an alumna of LSU where she received her bachelor’s degree in arts and her juris doctor degree from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center.  Several organizations have benefited from Leu Anne’s expertise including the Baton Rouge Recreation and Park Commission, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, and most recently, the Louisiana Department of Economic Development. In her new role at LSU, she focuses on providing proactive advice and services in all legal, regulatory and policy matters associated with the LSU Foundation activities and governance.
