Begin with the End in Mind: A Backwards Planning Approach to Grant Writing and Reporting

• AFP members will reflect on strategies to make grant writing and reporting more efficient and less stressful

• AFP members will  gain insights into funder requirements and pandemic funding shifts

Chloe Wiley serves as the Initiatives Manager for The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation.
In her current role, Wiley manages the Foundation’s grant programs and oversee major initiatives to improve the health and lives of Louisianans, including:

* New Horizons grants for innovation, helping nonprofits test new initiatives to improve health outcomes;

* Special Projects grants for one-time investments in expanding successful programs; and

* Collective Impact grants for community-based coalitions working together to solve persistent problems in health.

Wiley is the founder and, until recently, was the school director of Baton Rouge Bridge Academy, where she was she was responsible for executing all aspects of development, launch, and operation of a start-up 501(c)(3) charter school committed to providing high quality education for underserved students in North Baton Rouge. Under her leadership, 100 percent of the school’s students met year-long growth goals and outperformed 90 percent of peers nationwide in reading and math.
Wiley is originally from Effie, Louisiana. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University and a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University.
