Our Lady of the Lake Foundation

 * Come learn all about what makes a great annual giving program and why that is important to your organization.

 * Julie will guide us through the steps for getting started by writing your plan and then building your calendar and the team it takes to make your plan successful.

* How do you make an ask,-  from who do you ask to what is your message to how do you deliver that message.

* And finally we will learn what about stewardship is appropriate and why it is a vital part of our annual giving plan.

BIO

Julie Aguilar LeFebvre is the Senior Director of Annual Giving and External Relations at Our Lady of the Lake Foundation where her efforts support the Regional Medical Center and Children’s Hospital. A fundraising executive with over 20 years of experience, she has worked in complex project management, event planning, and fundraising, including annual fund, major gifts, corporate and foundation giving.

Prior to joining Our Lady of the Lake Foundation, Julie was the Executive Director of Annual Giving for the LSU Foundation. In this role, she transformed the annual giving program, grew alumni participation from last in the SEC to the top three and increased gifts to college discretionary funds by 225%.

Julie began her fundraising career at Tulane University in New Orleans as a front-line development officer in Athletics and then the A.B. Freeman School of Business. Following Tulane, she spent three years fundraising and planning gala events and conventions in Washington, D.C. and New Orleans. When Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans in 2005, Julie relocated to Austin, Texas, where she served as the Director of Development for Ballet Austin. Julie returned to Tulane working again as the Director of Development for the A.B. Freeman School of Business followed by a promotion to Director of the Annual Fund for the Tulane School of Medicine. She spent three years serving as the Director of Development for the LSU College of Art + Design until her promotion to lead all annual giving efforts at the LSU Foundation.

The passion and enthusiasm for her work is palpable – she overly enjoys talking data, strategy, solicitation, and stewardship.
