Delores Hurst is the Senior Director of Impact & Equity at Capital Area United Way. In this role, she oversees all current financial capabilities, builds program strategy, and explores potential initiatives around income stability, advocacy, and DEI. Prior to CAUW, Delores was the Executive Director of HOPE Ministry of Pointe Coupee, a human services organization dedicated to serving the basic needs of that parish. With a Master of Arts in Public Relations and over 9 years of experience in the non-profit field, Ms. Hurst’s knowledge has placed her on several boards and planning committees. She has built relationships in multiple sectors including health care, nonprofit, social services, community development, and finance.

Edy Addison is the Vice President of Community Impact at Capital Area United Way. Edy is a former special educator with over 13 years of experience in the non-profit field. Edy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science Degree in Family and Child Studies/Non-profit Management from Texas State University. At CAUW, Edy oversees grantmaking for the organization including programmatic, projects, disaster, and short-term assistance. She also sits on various community Boards including East Baton Rouge Parish Early Childhood Community Network Governing Board, West Baton Rouge Ready Start Advisory Council Member, First United Methodist Church’s Missions and Outreach Council and Early Learning Center, and the State of Louisiana’s Early Childhood Care and Education Advisory Council. When not working, Edy enjoys family time with her husband, two boisterous sons, and 6 pets.
