PR Strategy for Nonprofits

Public relations is more than publicity! PR’s roots in strategy and relationships align perfectly with fundraising. In this impactful and (hopefully) fun presentation, Connie will turn classroom insights into actionable tips and resources to help streamline your communication efforts.

 

BIO
 
Connie Silva, is sharing the limitless potential of public relations careers with the next generation of communicators. She has held a variety of different marketing, public relations and communication roles over her first 15 years in the field and knows what it’s like on both sides of the agency-client relationship. Her work contributed to successful campaigns across a range of industries including tourism, nonprofit, education, healthcare, and energy. Today, as a faculty member of LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication, Silva hopes her students not only hone the technical skills they’ll need in their chosen careers but also gain confidence from ALL of their experiences and abilities.

Shrimp Supreme

A lunch portion of jumbo shrimp broiled in sherry, butter, onions, lemon, and spices.

Marianated Chicken Breast

A boneless breast of chicken, marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce, and grilled over an open flame.

Catfish Lefete

Fillet of fresh catfish fried and topped with crawfish etouffee.

Pasta Primavera

Fresh Gulf shrimp, crawfish, purple onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and brocolli sauteed in olive oil and a blend of spices with rotini pasta.

Vegetarian Entree
